Internet Safety Tips for Your Kids

Internet is the easiest way to get information on almost anything. It is also a tool for entertainment where your kids can play computer games, watch movies online and get connected with their friends. But exposing to the open world of Internet can cause risk in the welfare of your children.

But don’t worry, below are safety tips for your kids when browsing the Internet:

1. Instruct your kids to never give personal information such as your name, address and telephone to someone they chat.

2. Block inappropriate content. Most Internet browsers offer that kind of features where you can set some restrictions.

3. Place the computer in an open area. In this way, you can supervise what he/she is doing.

4. Don’t give your password or User’s ID to your kids because they might pretend to be you.

5. Use filtering systems so you can limit the websites that your kids can open. There are available software programs on the internet that you can get for free.

6. As much as possible, assist your kids in browsing the World Wide Web especially if they have homework, you are not only helping them but also keeping them away from malicious content on the web.
